Ethan, one of our new volunteers who started last Saturday with MCF@CUFE, had some good things to say about his experience volunteering with MCF: “It is my first time working as a volunteer to attend the program organized by MCF. I am excited and curious because after a simple introduction from Helen and an interview I’m going to meet the kids intimately. Fortunately, we are well prepared and the communication with the children has been very relaxed and pleasant. During the teaching session, the kids were all full of passion and willing to win, which gave me the enthusiasm to help them. Although they could not remember the English words and phrases sometimes we believed they could make it after reviewing them since they’ve got the passion and talents to learn. I also met lots of brilliant foreign friends. They dealt with the problems in a different perspective.
I have taken part in many volunteer programs during my college life and this one impressed me the most. Although the school is quite far from our university, I really understand what charity means to me through this program. I hope others can get involved in this program and dedicate their love to the migrant children.”
