Dulwich are beginning a new year of cooperation with MCF by starting an MCF Kids’ Club through which they will be teaching music and English to migrant students as well as fundraising. After the success of their three day CAS trip to a Tongzhou migrant school, the students were keen to get further involved by starting a music-oriented MCF Kids’ Club.
The Dulwich students, led by Tony Liang, will be teaching English through music to the children, not only singing but also how to play the recorder. Students will each have their own recorder, will be taught to play, will learn how to sing and the final aim is that they will perform at a concert in the summer.
Lessons like this are important for the migrant students as it offers them a more well-rounded education, going them access to subjects and experiences they wouldn’t normally get,
It doesn’t end there though…the Dulwich students will also be busking on their school grounds to raise money for MCF. The first busking session is already complete and in just twenty minutes they raised 542.5 RMB.
Thank you so much to our friends at Dulwich for giving the students a richer educational experience and supporting MCF in two of its key aims: education and fundraising.
