The Canadian International School, Beijing: Inspire and be inspired.

The Canadian School-MCF Kids’ Club has been delivering music and English lessons to students at one of our Migrant schools for over a year now thanks to the drive and organisation of one of its Year 11 students, Linus. But this week I’ve had the opportunity to meet more of CIS’ inspiring students.
First was Year 5 student Jane Ling, who, after hearing about MCF from Linus, has been visiting other classes and grades to spread the word about the work we do and managed to inspire the Year 2 students to donate the proceeds of their super sale to MCF. A massive 3750 RMB!
The money will be used to sponsor a child’s education, that of a little boy called Zhang Ziqun, who would otherwise not have had the access to education he deserves.
I had the pleasure of meeting the Year 2 students this week to answer their questions, accept their donation and be inspired myself by the dedication and social responsibility shown by these students. And if that weren’t enough…Jane is now organising a stationery drive for MCF!
A huge thank you goes out to the students and staff of CIS for their continued support and hard work.
